I'll walk you through laying a new foundation for your marriage. The first step- forgiveness. So much hurt can be built up in a marriage. Sometimes you don't even know how you've hurt your spouse, or maybe you're holding something in that's holding you back from moving forward in your marriage. A clean slate is necessary to tear down the walls that have been built up between you.
This is when we get into the second step of your firm foundation- understanding the role God designed you for in marriage. Both of you have different roles, and you were created perfectly for them. When we flesh out our God-given roles in marriage, we start to see the fruit of our labor. The connection between husband and wife is revived.
Day 3 is all about love. You each take a test to see how you receive and give love so that you can know how to love each other. But knowing is one thing, and implementing is another. We dive deep to make sure that the knowledge you gained is used for only good in your marriage. Because when love is restored, built on the principles of Christ- it's near impossible to stray away.
We take what we've learned from the last 3 days and put it into action. Making your marriage a priority. Coming only second to God. You'll determine yourselves to make intentional time for each other.
Everything has been leading up to this day. You said your vows on your wedding day, but have you put them into action in your marriage? It's time to implement everything you've learned and make a pact. You'll each write out new commitments to each other, and then write a new marriage commitment. Built on love, Christ and determination to put your marriage right where God intended it to be, in His hands.
